Setting the Stage by discussing self-awareness and how developing a deep understanding of themselves, their values, strengths, weaknesses, and desires helps individuals and teams make more informed choices aligned with their authentic selves. Coach Hearne will illustrate this topic by telling an inspirational and thought-provoking story from his experiences as a Coach for the Mighty Mojo “Friday Night Lights” Panthers.
Overview of Don Clifton’s (Gallup Research) on strengths and how it applies to disengaged workers in the workplace. Introduction to Candace Fitzpatrick’s research (CoreClarity) and the relevance of knowing, growing, and showing your talents to address workplace disengagement. Participants will set personal goals for the 12-week class. The three Major Fault lines will be discussed.
(All participants should have completed the Clifton Strengths Assessment a week before this session and submitted assessment results.)
Work will begin on understanding the framework of the participant's talents. The following will be discussed: Gain or Drain Exercise, CoreClarity Key, and Talent Sampling (explanation) of talents from the four quadrants.
Work will continue on understanding the participant’s talents through the CoreClarity Pyramid. Review Pyramid Structure. Discuss Individual Pyramids. This session is highly interactive.
This session will focus on participants understanding how their talents show up in them (Talent Reflection Exercise).
Introduce CoreClarity CoreDrills (Detailed CoreDrill exercise).
Understanding how the CoreClarity Quadrants show up for different team members and how they can best work together based on those differences.
Understanding potential talent collisions on the team.
Understanding how to build strong teams based on knowing, growing, and showing their talents.
This session focuses on Identifying genuine passion and clarity of purpose by helping participants Identify their life purpose and meaningful goals that give their life direction and fulfillment. This involves exploring passions and values and finding meaning in what they do. The session focuses on identifying action words that align with the participant’s top five talents. A passion discovery tool will be introduced.
Participants will write a personal vision and mission statement!
Through goal setting, participants will strive for self-fulfillment and self-actualization by optimizing their potential, experiencing personal growth, and finding a sense of purpose, meaning, and happiness in their lives.
